All retailers of electrical goods must comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation. The purpose of this legislation is to avoid all such waste being disposed of in general landfill sites and to promote the recycling of components and materials thereby reducing the harmful effects of these materials on the environment.
The products that can be recycled for free include batteries and electrical fitness equipment which includes but not limited to PROMiXX® Vortex Mixer, Recovery Pump, MARC PRO® and MARC PRO® PLUS+, Medicare Wireless TENS Machine.
When you purchase a new electrical (mains or battery) product from Elite Sports Products you can return a similar unwanted item to your local civic waste collection facility. Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) goods are taken back free of charge on a like-for-like basis. Waste batteries including rechargeable batteries are taken back free of charge, you are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries. Each local authority must also accept household WEEE and small batteries free of charge at its recycling facilities. All WEEE and waste batteries must be recycled and should not be placed in any of your household wheelie bins. Make sure you always recycle all your old electrical goods and batteries.
